April is "5 Minute Reteach" Month!

If you gave struggling students 5 more minutes of instruction during independent work time, they would have about 30 hours of extra instruction in a school year. After teaching a concept, separate your students into two groups "Kids Who Know" & "Kids Who Don't Know". You can do this by quickly assessing during a practice activity. The kids who "know" can start the practice and the kids who "don't know" should participate in a 5 minute re-teach with you. This will avoid students completing work wrong or going home frustrated.

Post about your experience with "5 Minute Reteach". Were you able to incorporate it into your lessons? Was it beneficial?
