Research shows that students should engage in guided practice before trying the task independent practice. To ensure that students do not practice a skill incorrectly, feedback for guided practice should be given within 60 seconds.
Have students participate in guided practice and give them immediate feedback. This will help with the problem of having students completing their independent homework incorrectly.
